Baker & McKenzie is the Most Recommended Law Firm in Poland
Warsaw, Poland, December 2, 2007 - Baker & McKenzie's Warsaw office was ranked in 15 out of 16 practices according to Practical Law Company's PLC Which lawyer? annual survey - the most number of recommended practices than any other law firm in Poland. In addition, ten lawyers were cited as "go-to" practitioners in their fields.
The Firm's dispute resolution, pharmaceutical and tax practice groups were recognized as "Leading" practices in Poland. Banking & finance, capital markets, competition, real estate and corporate/M&A were "Highly recommended" practices. Energy, intellectual property, investment funds, employment, private equity and restructuring were "Recommended" practices, and outsourcing was "Recognized".
Three lawyers were named "Leading" practitioners. These were:
Slawomir Boruc (Tax) - He was commended for his extensive knowledge of corporate tax issues, including tax planning, fiscal issues related to mergers and acquisitions, as well as state and local taxes.
Paulina Kieszkowska-Knapik (Life sciences) - She was widely acknowledged for her particular effectiveness in advising clients from the pharmaceutical industry, both on matters related to intellectual property and in regulatory issues. She was also recommended for Intellectual property.
Dr. Andrzej Tynel (Dispute resolution) - The ranking emphasised the lawyer's particular skills in commercial disputes. His practice in this respect includes construction law, intellectual property and issues related to the laws regulating international trade.
