White & Case Launches Its 14th Annual French Business Law Scholarship
Paris, December 27, 2007 ... For the 14th consecutive year White & Case will award its French Annual Business Law Scholarship, which the Firm created in 1995 to support law students studying in France who wish to complete their training through advanced studies abroad.
The scholarship aims to encourage legal excellence while advancing the values of solidarity and cooperation. It gives students preparing for a career as a business attorney, who do not have the necessary financial resources, the possibility of benefiting from financial assistance to continue their international studies.
White & Case's scholarship is intended for students who have completed or who are in the process of completing a degree in advanced legal studies (Masters, PhD) in a French university and who hope to carry out postgraduate studies at a university outside of France in the year 2008-2009.
The pre-selection of applications takes place in the month of May and is followed by the selection of 10 candidates, who will then be asked to make a presentation before a jury composed of university professors, corporate directors, magistrates and partners from the Firm in June 2008.
Candidates are asked to send in their application before April 15, 2008, which must include a budget for the studies they are planning, proof of their current level of studies and their acceptance to the postgraduate program of the foreign university of their choice.
The overall annual endowment for the scholarship is €27,000, which is distributed in three awards: €15,000 for the first award, €8,000 for the second award and €4,000 for the third. The awards will be made in the month of June 2008. The scholarship application documents are available at: www.whitecase.com/boursedetudes.
